Recent developments
1992
The tankers are awarded ISO 9002 certification for the first time and count amongst the first tankers worldwide to be certified.

1993
After the death of founder Christian F. Ahrenkiel, his son, Christian J. Ahrenkiel, takes over the helm of the company’s business. Since 1997, he has been the sole owner and chairman of the Ahrenkiel Group.

2001
By founding Fondshaus Hamburg and Fondshaus Treuhand, the Ahrenkiel Group extends its business areas to include ship investments. Since 2006, Fondshaus has also been offering closed real estate investment funds.

In setting up Christian J. Ahrenkiel Holding & Co. and Ahrenkiel Consulting Service & Co. in Bern, the Group expands its operations in Switzerland. From here, they not only manage parts of the fleet, but also work on the development of the LogRac and HolzWab systems.

2007
Suisse Outremer Ahrenkiel & Co. is founded in Bern. The subsidiary is responsible for the operating and technical management of parts of the fleet.
